Limitations & notes

  • Crestron Home 4-series only. 3-series processors are not supported.
  • The lock is driven by a switch output. Only Switch1Switch4 can be selected as the strike output in this release.
  • Card credentials are not attributed to users. The driver recognises a valid card read at the device but, in this PIN-only release, does not map it to a specific user. PIN entries are attributed.
  • User management uses the 2N Directory API and needs an API account with directory / access-control privileges on the device. See User Management.
  • Weekly schedules are enforced as a rolling validity window rather than a device time profile. This is fail-secure — access expires if the processor is offline — but means a schedule is represented on the device as a validity window, not a named profile.
  • Lock commands are always sent to the device, even when the tile already shows the target state, to avoid a stale reading leaving a door in the wrong state.

This is version 1.0.0 (initial release). Behaviour and supported features may expand in later versions — check the driver release notes for the latest.
